Juliette Has a Gun Not a Perfume is a minimalist fragrance built on a single ingredient: Cetalox, also known as Ambroxan. Typically used in perfumery as a base note, Cetalox takes the lead role here, resulting in a scent that is elegant, pure, and understated. Launched in September 2010 by the house of Juliette Has a Gun, this 100ml eau de parfum spray for women breaks from the rules of conventional perfumery. Its composition consists of one molecule - Ambroxan (C16H28O) - first developed by Firmenich in the 1950s as a substitute for costly grey amber. Because the fragrance is made of this single element, it is entirely allergen free, making it a strong choice for those sensitive to common perfume ingredients. The notes pyramid is uniform from top to bottom: top notes of Cetalox, heart notes of Cetalox, and base notes of Cetalox.
