This open-box Kidde 10 Year Worry-Free Smoke Detector provides battery-powered fire protection with no battery changes for a decade. It runs on a sealed, tamper-resistant 10-year lithium battery, so the alarm keeps working even during power outages. The ionization sensor is designed to detect invisible fire particles, giving your family an early warning. A green LED confirms the alarm is in operation, while red LEDs indicate standby, smoke or fire, and hush mode. After 10 years of use, the unit chirps once every 40-45 seconds to signal that the alarm needs replacement. Condition note: this item is sold as open box - the retail packaging may be opened or show signs of handling, and original seals may be broken; the detector itself has not been installed.
